Elizabeth Blackman

Elizabeth Blackman, 49, died unexpectedly at her home October 4, 2010. Elizabeth received a degree in accountancy from the University of Notre Dame and a law degree from Case Western Reserve University. She was a certified public accountant and worked over 15 years in tax and securities and First Indiana Bank. Elizabeth then earned a Masters in Social Work from Indiana University and began a new career as a medical social worker at New Hope Hospice. She was an active member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church and long-time volunteer at St. Vincent DePaul Society of Indianapolis. She was predeceased by her parents, Eugene and Barbara Blackman. She is survived by sisters, Spencer Scott, Sarah Blackman, and Jan Schofield; brothers, Anthony Blackman and Michael Schofield; nieces, Stephanie Scott, Samantha Blackman, Nicole Schofield, Ruthie Georgia Coleman; nephews, Jacob Blackman and Connor Scott. Family and friends will gather Friday, October 8, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 P.m. at the Leppert Mortuary, Nora Chapel, Indianapolis.
