Robert "Hill" Smith
Robert Hillenbrand ?Hill? Smith passed away in his sleep on Friday, October, 29th, 2010. He was 54 years old. Son, uncle, performer and composer, Hill was a lover of life, lover of art and lover of music. Born September 8, 1956 in Greenwich CT, Hill grew up there, in Long Beach, IN and Indianapolis. He attended La Lumiere Preparatory School in LaPorte, IN and graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington. Hill enjoyed composing music and was an accomplished jazz drummer. He also worked as both a stock broker and salesman. He is survived by parents Robert Charles and Joan Hillenbrand Smith of Indianapolis, IN, brother Randolph M. Smith of San Diego, CA, sister Veronica S. McGraw of Manitowish Waters, WI, and sister Margaret Ryder, brothers Matthew J. Smith, Adam R. Smith, and sister Joni Abdalla of Indianapolis, IN. He was loving uncle to 18 nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at the Home of Joan and Bob Smith, Wednesday, November 3, 2010 from 4:00-8:00pm.
