William Byers

William H. Byers, 69, of Indianapolis died on November 30, 2010. He was born in Indianapolis on January 29, 1941 to Walter and Mary Juanita (Fegan) Byers. He was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School and Marian College. After graduating with a degree in chemistry, Bill worked for Eli Lilly & Co., retiring in 1996. He was a member of the Carmel VFW, Northside Knights of Columbus, and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, where he was a former choir member. He also loved being Santa Claus at Christmas time each year. Bill is survived by his wife, Sue Cain Byers; daughters, Elizabeth Byers and Rachel (Robert) Brown; two grandchildren, Sam and Lillian Brown; sisters, Eileen Roberts and Vickie (Bill) Kenney. He is preceded in death by son, Matthew Byers and brother, Richard Byers. Friends and family will gather on Friday, December 3, 2010 for visitation from 11:00am to 1:00pm followed by Mass to celebrate his life at 1:00pm at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church.
