Richard Monsey

Richard E. Monsey, of Indianapolis, passed away Monday, January 10, 2011. Born December 24, 1917, in New Castle, PA, he was the son of Serafino and Assunta (Magnani) Manazani who preceded him in death. His son, Rick Monsey also preceded him in death. Mr. Monsey was the owner of Industrial Dispensing Service. He was a member of the PGA, a PGA golf professional, and a member of the Hillcrest Country Club where he was a member of the Hole-In-One club having five hole-in-ones. He was a caddie master at the New Castle Field House and one of his greatest thrills was being able to play golf at the Old Course at St. Andrew?s Scotland. He also was a member of R.O.B.?s. He loved traveling the world and especially finding his family in 1976 in Italy and returning yearly for visits. He was a Captain and pilot in the Army Air Force in World War II where flew several planes including the B-24, B-29, B-25 and the C-47. He also received the American Campaign Medal and the World War II Victory Medal.
