James P. Peterson

James P. Peterson 68 of Carmel, IN passed away March 10, 2011. He was the son of the late Burdette and Angela (Zimmer) Peterson, who proceeded him in death. Jim retired from Hershey Chocolates in 2002 after 34 years in sales. He was an avid golfer teaching his sons at an early age to play golf and in his retirement he was a volunteer and a Starter and Ranger at Fort Benjamin Harrison Golf Course. Jim served in the US Navy from 1963 to 1967 serving on the USS Oriskany Air Craft Carrier during the Vietnam War. He graduated from Cathedral High School with the class of 1960 and attended Marian College. Jim is survived by his wife; Belinda Goldsmith Huneke Peterson along with his sons; Michael and Jeffrey Peterson and Gesche Huneke and Michael (Melissa) Huneke. He has six grandchildren and his two brothers survive; Burdette ?Pete? (Judi) Peterson and Thomas (Carolyn) Peterson. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday March 15th at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, of which he was a member, with family and friends gathering on Monday March 14th from 4:00 to 8:00 pm in the Leppert Mortuary, Nora Chapel.
