Arthur Sloan Overbay, Jr. 87 a lifelong resident of Indianapolis, IN passed away Tuesday March 29, 2011 at the The Forum. He was born on June 26, 1923 to the late Arthur and Lucile (Huls) Overbay, Sr.. Art graduated from Shortridge High School and attended Indiana University where he was a member of Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity. He served in the Army Air Corps as Ist Lt. Navigator on a B-24 heavy Bomber in the Pacific theater during WWII. Art was president of The Typographic Service Co. (later known as Typo Pioneer) for 45 years. After retirement he became a Real Estate Broker and owner of the former Overbay Realty Co. Art was a member and later president of The Printing Industries of Indiana, a board member of the Methodist Hospital and served as president of the Suemma Coleman Home for twelve years. He was a member of the Indianapolis Athletic Club Foundation, Highland Golf and Country Club and The American Business Club. Art loved golf, boating, woodworking, backgammon and poker.
