Willet M. "Bill" Bane August 15, 1929 - September 29, 2011 Bill was born in Greens Fork, Indiana and graduated from Purdue University in 1951 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and maintained a Professional Engineering License. Following graduation from Purdue, he served in the United States Navy as a Lieutenant j.g. and in 1955 started Baystone Construction in Muncie, Indiana. While in Muncie he was a member of the Rotary Club, Masonic Lodge, Indianapolis Scottish Rite, Delaware Country Club, Chamber of Commerce and was on the Board of Industrial Trust Bank. He also served on various committees of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Indiana serving as Vice President and President of AGC from which he received the SIR Award -- for service and integrity in the construction industry. He was a licensed multi engine pilot with over 5000 hours and was actively involved in the American Speed Association (ASA) as a car owner and technician racing throughout the Midwest and Canada. tral Indiana. After retiring in 2009, he continued consulting with Jungclaus. He was a member of St. Luke's Methodist Church, Scientech Club and the Country Club of Indianapolis. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Patricia (Pat) Ann Hall Bane, daughter Wendy Bane Andrews (husband David) and three grandchildren Abby, Sam and Tory all in Cary, NC. He has three daughters residing in Florida -- Karen LaFollett, Linda Bane, and Marca Headley and two grandchildren Kelly Riggott and Todd Stats also in Florida. He is preceded in death by parents Stewart and Mary (Ullery) Bane, sons Frederick V. Bane and Bradley W. Bane. Family and friends will gather on Monday October 3nd from 3:00 to 7:00pm in the Leppert Mortuary, Nora Chapel with funeral on Tuesday October 4rd at 2:00 pm in St, Luke?s United Methodist Church. Private interment will be in Elmridge Memorial Park Cemetery in Muncie, IN.
