Joseph ?Joe? Robert Hartley 1931-2011 Joe passed away Sunday, November 13, 2011, following an unexpected illness, with his family at his side. He was born June 25, 1931 in Portland, Indiana to the late Alton Hartley and Josephine (Norris) Hartley. Joe is survived by his wife of 60 years, Louise (Logan) Hartley; children Karen Cotner (Stephen) of Vincennes, IN and Gregory Hartley of West Chester, PA and Lynn (Goodman) Hartley (deceased); brother Howard Hartley of Columbus, OH and sister Ann Malcolm (James) of Sarasota, Florida. Grandchildren: Jennifer and Matthew Cotner of Fishers, IN; Jonathan, Carolyn and Ryan Hartley of West Chester, PA; and Michael Goodman of Panama City Beach, FL. Joseph Hartley, PhD was a retired, professor of Finance in the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University (1957-1996). He served as Vice-President and Dean for Academic Affairs of the Indiana University System (1965-1972) and Editor, IU Business Horizons Magazine (1954-1988). He loved teaching, mentoring and challenging the minds of his students and received numerous awards.
