Thomas Ballard Foster, 75, of Carmel, died Christmas day, December 25, 2011. He was born January 30, 1936 in Tulsa, OK to Vernon and Doris Foster. He graduated with a business degree from the University of Oklahoma where he was a member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. Thomas was the consummate salesman in his career as a manufacturer?s rep. He was a family man, devoted Christian, a member of Zionsville Presbyterian Church, and its choir, and Glades Golf and Country Club. He volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and he was devoted to the care of camp property in Maine. He enjoyed waterskiing and golf. Thomas is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann; son, Chester Daniel Foster; daughter, Sara Ann (Timothy) Pliske; daughter, Linda Sue Foster (Shafer); grandchildren, Scott and Leah Foster, Megan, Nathan and Ben Pliske, Hannah and Levi Shafer; sister, Sue (Phil) Wettengel; sister-in-law, Mary Foster. He is preceded in death by son, Scott Thomas Foster and brother, Vernon Foster, Jr. Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, December 28th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Leppert Mortuary, Nora Chapel.
