Bailey. Thomas proudly served in the United States Navy as a Seabee from 1951 to 1955. He retired from Grady Brothers, Inc. in 1997 after 49 years of service, which he spent in various capacities, including President and most recently Chairman of the Board. He worked for many years in partnership with his brother Pat Grady until the latter retired in 1990. Thomas accomplished much in his career but was perhaps most proud that his company, which is co-managed by his three sons, paved the world?s most famous racetrack four times. He will be remembered as a man of few words who let his good works define his character. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Leppert Mortuary, 740 East 86th Street, Indianapolis, IN. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on January 27, 2012 at St. Luke's Catholic Church, 7575 Holliday Dr. E, Indianapolis, IN. He will be laid to rest in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery located at 9001 Haverstick Road in Indianapolis.
