Janette B. Confer

Janette B. Confer, age 96, of Indianapolis, passed away Friday, January 27, 2012. Born June 6, 1915, in Marion, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Jerry and Rae (Hering) Parsons. Her husband, Herman Confer preceded her in death in June of 1998 and also her son, Stephen H. Confer in May of 2008. Janette was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church where she not only volunteered her time, but was an elder, a deacon and the very first female trustee at the church. She was the church financial manager from 1957-1977. She volunteered at Fox Hill Elementary School and for the March of Dimes. She was an amazing seamstress, a gracious hostess and a creative cook. She enjoyed bridge, golf and bowling. She has left a long-lasting legacy to her family. Survivors include her two children: James H. Confer, Sr. and Janet Pfadt; her two children by marriage: Beth Confer and Bill Pfadt; her 8 grandchildren: Hans (Linda) Confer, Nils (Holly) Confer, Karinne (Scott) Mendoza, James Jr. (Alison) Confer, Kathy (Mike) Mann, Amy Confer, Katie Pfadt, Jennifer Pfadt; and her 20 great grandchildren.
