Jeanne L. Shockley

Our Family believes in Angels because we've all lived with one for our entire life. Age 87, Jeanne passed away on October 20, 2015 surrounded by her family who adored her. Jeanne was born on June 8, 1928 in West Lafayette to John and Mary Hughes. Her family moved to Indianapolis where she graduated from Shortridge High School. Jeanne also attended Purdue University. She met Bill Shockley and married the love of her life. She was the office manager for Tintera Insurance for 21 years before retiring. She was a member of Orchard Park Presbyterian Church and she dearly loved being with her close friends as part of the Lunch Bunch. She was so loved by all who knew her. She had a most infectious smile, gentle spirit, compassion, and a strong faith in God. Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband Bill, sister Martha Lee Abernethy and brother Jack Hughes.
