Timothy Ballard

Timothy T. Ballard passed away on Sunday, January 20th, 2013. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Ballard, mother Betty Ballard of Dallas and formerly of El Dorado, Arkansas, his brother Bill Ballard of Dallas and his family, and numerous extended family members. Tim was the Director of Clinical Applications - Information Services for IU Health of Indianapolis, a position he most enjoyed. His love for his family and his music was evident by the pictures and posters displayed in his office. His trademark sense of humor was enjoyed and suffered by all who knew and loved him well, and it is this trait that will be most sorely missed. His was a life full of love, laughter, adventure, truth seeking, and endeavors to leave this world a better place. No man could have lived better. Memorials may be made to the Interfaith Hunger Initiative, www.interfaithhungerinitiative.org , or a charity of your choice. The Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at Northminster Presbyterian Church of Indianapolis, on Friday, January 25th, 2013 at 3:00 pm. Elizabeth is so very grateful for all the prayers, visits, phone calls, cards, gifts, emails, dinners, dog sitting, and hand holding they both received from friends and colleagues around the country and at home, during this difficult journey. Thank you to the Mystery Cancer Boy Support Team, Ruth Moore, Dr. Lawrence Einhorn, and all the doctors, nurses and infusion center staff who worked on Tim's behalf. I know we will all miss him and remember his humor and love of people in the years to come.
