heir guitars with groups in Arizona and Malvern. Carl so enjoyed his grandchildren and later great grandchildren and never failed to ask how they were doing. Before his eye sight failed him he enjoyed woodworking. He and June would go to auctions and bring home an item that would need just a little repair work to make it better. He also made his own buggy seat as a coffee table for June. Carl never let his children know how frustrating it was not being able to have his central vision and needing help to find a hole to put a screw into a cabinet. He learned to adjust to his handicap and amazed us all when he could see something that would seem impossible for him to see. Because of declining health Carl and June moved to Linnwood Estates in July of 2013. They made many new friends with staff and retirees. Carl loved having fun with the staff and they loved his quick wit and comebacks. His grandchildren shared him with many staff members who thought of him as their Grandpa too. Carl entered into eternal rest on May 24, 2016 in Glenwood, Iowa at Linnwood Estates. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife June; three brothers Eberly, Elmer, and Donald and three sisters; Hazel McCoy, Bernice Bennett, and Ruth Bennett. He is survived by his two sons, Robert Malcom and wife Patricia of Malvern; Dale Malcom and wife Diane of Glenwood; granddaughters Trisha Malcom of Wichita, Kansas; Christine Miller and husband Scott of Glenwood; Kathryn Sievers and husband Colt of Lincoln, Nebraska; and grandson Dennis Malcom of Bremerton, Washington; great grandchildren, Danisha Malcom, Sydney and Samantha Miller, Ethan Malcom, Colton and Carter Sievers; many nieces, nephews, and many special friends.
