Joseph T. O'Keefe

Joseph T. O'Keefe, Jr., 88, of the Renaissance community of Manchester, New Jersey, died peacefully on May 28, 2016, at his home. Born in Newark, Joe resided in East Hanover before moving to Manchester 14 years ago. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Joe attended Fairleigh Dickinson University before starting his career as a Data Center Manager at IBM Corporation. He retired in 1989 after 30 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jane Doran O'Keefe. He is also survived by his two children and their spouses, Kathleen and Christopher Strack, Branchburg, and Kevin and Dina O'Keefe, Montville. Joe is also survived by his brother, John O'Keefe, Florida. Joe was the loving Grandfather of Kelly Strack, Sarah O'Keefe and Ryan O'Keefe. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday at 11:00am at St John RC Church, Lakehurst. [more]
