ar career in the produce business. He had a strong work ethic and lived and believed in an honest day's work. He loved his family. His children and their health meant the world to him. He was an avid sports fan and lover of music. Marvin had a very witty sense of humor. He liked jokes with a great punch line. He made strong friendships that lasted a lifetime. Honorary Pallbearers include Curtis Wheat, Darryl Lipscomb, Jim Street, Ross Harbison, Peter Harris, Donnie Norrell. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin Voelkel,Sr. and Virginia Voelkel. He leaves behind his loving wife of nearly 40 years, Laurie, two daughters Jennifer (Ross) Harbison and Catherine Voelkel, sisters JoLynn Blandford and Toni (Donnie) Norrell, grandchildren Taylor, Trinity, and Ryan Harbison. He is also survived by loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of long-time friends. Visitation will be from 2-8pm on Friday, April 1st. A chapel service will be held on Saturday, April 2nd at 2pm.
