She cheered loudly for her children and grandchildren at athletic, music, and other school events, and always told them to follow their dreams and to pursue education. Thanks to her encouragement, her children have 6 master's degrees and 1 PhD amongst them. She will be deeply missed by family and friends. She is survived by five children including Lori (Drew) Riley, Rick (Diane) Brennan, Robert Jr. (Martha) Brennan, Jeff (Anne) Brennan, Kate (Shane) Brennan-Tzen, 16 grandchildren including Brennan, Devan, Sydney, Patrick, Wesley, Evan, Anna, Grace, Eve, Ivy, Bella, Emmet, Althea, Joseph, Clementine and Harriette, sister-in-laws Beverly (Tim) Jackson, Jean Steger, Ruthann (John) Haywood, brother-in-law Mike (Mary) Brennan, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Bob Brennan (March, 10, 2016), parents Lorin and Cathryn (Bevard) Luchsinger, father Charles Thorson, sister Judy (Thorson) Ward, brother-in-law Max Ward, niece Jill Ward, and mother and father-in-law Emmet and Ruth (Beatty) Brennan.
