Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Teacher and Friend E. Dorothy "Dottie" Wodock, age 97, of Worthington Place in Camby, Indiana,(formally of Carmel, Indiana and Long Boat Key, Florida) passed away on Saturday June 18, 2016. Visitation will be held Monday June 27th at the Leppert Funeral Home, located at 900 N. Range Line Road in Carmel, Indiana from 11:00 AM to 1:00PM. There will be a brief memorial service at the Funeral Home conducted by the family. Burial will follow the Memorial service at the Carmel Cemetery adjacent to the Leppert Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Leppert Mortuary. Dottie was born in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania on January 3rd of 1919. She graduated from Bloomsburg State Teachers College and continued on to receive a Master's degree in Elementary Education from Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana. She taught second grade for Carmel-Clay schools for nearly 30 years. Dottie was married to Howard Wodock in 1939. They moved to Carmel, Indiana in 1953. fore becoming a full time second grade teacher. She taught 2nd grade for almost 30 years and was a member of the team that opened Woodbrook Elementary School, Carmel's first "Open Concept" school. She loved watching her children and grandchildren participate in sports. Her great passion in life, besides her children, was dancing. She was a former tap dancer and once performed at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. Later in life she acquired quite a liking for Bingo and played regularly. Dottie is survived by her sons Jack and Jim Wodock, her grandchildren, Karen Goldstein, Pete Wodock, Chris Wodock, Austin Wodock and Emily Wodock, her Great Grandchildren, Lauren Goldstein, Emma Goldstein, Oliva Goldstein, Lily Goldstein, Sophie Wodock and Evan Wodock, and her niece Katheryn "Kitty" Hunsinger and many other friends and former students. Dottie is preceded in death by her oldest son Joe, her husband Howard, her brother Jack Albertson, and her sister Betty Riley. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Worthington Place, 10799 Alliance Drive, Camby, Indiana in her name in honor of the loving and passionate care she received while a resident. The entire Wodock family and extended family wish to thank the entire staff of Worthington Place, but especially Kim and Sherry whose love and caring made her last few months a joy!
