Vernon "Vern" Lee Rich

Vernon "Vern" Lee Rich, 51, of Elk Point, SD passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at his home, while surrounded by his family following a lengthy illness. A Celebration of Life party will be held from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Pace's Bar in Elk Point. Arrangements are under the direction of Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE. Vern was born on July 7, 1964 in Sioux City, Iowa. He grew up in Sioux City, attended North High School and graduated his Senior year from Kelso High School in the state of Washington. He served in the U.S. Army from 1981 to 1983. Vern married Marcie Geeting in South Sioux City, NE in 1991. They lived in South Sioux City and Elk Point, SD and raised two sons. He worked as a Sr. Exec. Sales Rep. for Gateway Computers (Badge #16) for 13 years. He owned and operated Rich Motors for 8 years before starting on a new adventure in business, See2Sea Sourcing, LTD, a patent and invention sourcing company. Vern holds two of his own patents.
