CAROL SUMMY MUSCATINE, Iowa - Carol J. Summy, 84, of Muscatine, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2016, at UnityPoint Hospital, Muscatine. Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at Mulford Evangelical Free Church. Reverend Todd Hessel will officiate. Burial will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Mulford Evangelical Free Church. Online condolences: www.wittichfuneralhome.com Carol was born on October 15, 1931, in Hedrick, the daughter of Palmer and Doris Hunting Hedges. She married John Summy on October 22, 1949, in Hedrick. She was a member of Mulford Evangelical Free Church, where she sang in the choir and also sang solos. She enjoyed sewing, cross stich, needlework, reading, and playing the piano. She was very crafty.
