TOWN OF MIDDLETON - Eldre Antoinette Cook, age 86, of Middleton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 25, 2016, at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. She was born on October 1, 1929 in Prairie du Chien, Wis., to Agnes (Borgen) and Richard W. Beuthin. As a graduate from Prairie du Chien High School and the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse, Eldre became a medical technologist in 1951. She married Hugh Lincoln Cook on August 21, 1956 in Prairie du Chien, Wis. Together they had one child, and lived in Middleton, Wis. They traveled together extensively, as well as worked and lived overseas. Eldre was a very kind, and gentle woman. She was a good wife, homemaker, as well as a loving mother and grandmother. She will be missed.
Eldre is survived by her son, Philip R. Cook of Hartford, Wis., her grandson Nicholas J. Cook of Middleton, Wis., and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Agnes (Borgen) and Richard Beuthin, and by her husband Hugh L. Cook.
