Commerce for her continued support, formally commended by the City of Fort Lauderdale for her service and contributions as chairman of the Planning and Zoning Board, and was honored by the Broward College Foundation as chair of the Endowed Teaching Chair Committee. Tere was married to the late Edgar Sjogren with whom she was president and co-owner of Mold Master Inc. and treasurer and president of Gulf Machinery and Sales, Inc. Among those who love and cherish her memory are her family; Roger R. (Julia) Parent, Paul Parent, William ( Patricia) Parent, Robert Parent, Anne (Robert) Parent Lavoie, Rene Brodeur, Jr., Betty Manzello, Gail (Ed) Mastrorio, Mary (Michael) Malley, William Brodeur, Steven (Amy) Brodeur and sister-in-law Vicki Brodeur. She was preceded in death by her sister, Penny Brodeur Parent and her brother, Rene Brodeur, Sr. Tere had a strong belief in the transforming power of higher education in people's lives, which is why she gave her time to the Broward College Foundation for so many years, and provided scholarships for deserving students. It was her wish that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Broward College Foundation, (111 East Broward Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301) in support of the Teresa B. Sjogren Endowed Scholarship. Friends are invited to join the family on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. at Fred Hunters Downtown Fort Lauderdale Funeral Home, 718 S. Federal Hwy, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church, 4995 Bayview Drive, Ft. Lauderdale.
