David Edward Ballard

David Edward Ballard, 54 of Carmel, IN, passed away on July 3, 2016 from a heart attack. David was an attorney, an author, and actor, and above all else, a loving and devoted father. Born on October 7th, 1961. He was a graduate of Miami University, and the Ohio State University College of Law. He spent the majority of his law career with Lee, Groves, & Zalas of South Bend, IN. He was a published author with several of his stories being made into films. Upon moving to Carmel, he resumed his passion for acting and was seen in many community productions. Perhaps David's greatest passion was his children. The legacy he left will always be remembered and he will be greatly missed. Burial will be private. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM on Thursday July 7, 2016 at Leppert Mortuary Smith-Carmel Chapel, with funeral services at 3 PM on Friday July 8, 2016 with a reception to follow at Waterstone Community Club house 12046 Pebblepointe Pass Carmel, IN 46033. In lieu of flowers, David's family asks that donation be made to the American Heart Association. Arrangements entrusted to Leppert Mortuary Smith-Carmel Chapel.[more]
