Catholic Church in Milwaukee, WI. Rita loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Rita was a secretary, homemaker, Scout den mother, and a volunteer for AARP. Rita and Earl loved to travel. Rita will be especially remembered for her generous and unconditional love for her family, friends, and everyone she met. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Kumari Chintamaneni, Dr. Suhas Shelgikar, and Dr. Anwer Dhala for their devoted service and care to Rita, especially after Rita's heart surgery in 1998. Rita loved life and in spite of congestive heart failure, bravely defied many odds and went on to stay active for 18 more years. The visitation will be on Tuesday, July 19, at 4:30 PM with vigil service at 7:00 PM at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin Wisconsin. Reverend Erich J. Weiss will be the principal celebrant at the Funeral Mass on Wednesday, July 20, at 9:30 AM at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 1711 South 9th Street, Milwaukee, WI 53204. Burial will follow the next week. The family requests all memorials be made to Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.
