Lorna "Jean" Kleinert

Lorna "Jean" Kleinert, 74, of Keokuk, passed away early in the morning of Sunday, July 24, 2016. She was born on August 13, 1941, in Keokuk, Iowa, to Leona Mabel Paris and Pearl Wesley Lora. She married Daryl Kleinert on November 28, 1959, in Keokuk. He survives. Mrs. Kleinert was a homemaker. She was highly skilled at crochet and embroidery, and loved to make beautiful gifts for her daughter and other family members. In her younger years, she enjoyed extensive travel with her husband on their vintage Harley-Davidson. Besides her husband, survivors include her daughter, Kimberly Spring of Keokuk; four grandsons: Ethan Spring of Keokuk; Jason Cook of Keokuk; Donovan Cook of Fort Madison, Iowa; and Brandon Cook of New York City, New York; and three great-grandchildren: Christopher, Brenton and Katelyn. She is also survived by her beloved Cocker Spaniel, "Shadow". She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Margie Helen Felgar; and a brother in infancy.
