1941. Verne was a Staff Sargent and Recruiter in the US Army, serving in World War Two. One Son was born of this union, Terry Lee Small who resides in Cottonwood Calif. In 1955 Verne, Bonnie and Terry made the big move to Concord, Calif. After Concord they resided in Napa Calif for many years. Bonnie was widowed in 1987 and bought a home next door to her sister Doris Kerr in Graettinger. The Sisters took loving care of their Mother Elvina until her death in 1995. Bonnie then returned to her home in Napa Calif. Doris visited Bonnie for the next twenty winters. They both enjoyed many trips to the ocean and drives up the beautiful Napa Valley wine country. Bonnie was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. She will be dearly missed. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents: Elvina and Marion; husband, Verne W. Small, beloved grandson, Michael Lee Small, and on June 4, 2016, her sister, Doris Kerr passed away. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Terry Small and wife, Sharon of Cottonwood Calif, granddaughter, Kelli Silvestri and husband, Paul; great-grandchildren: Nicholas and Scott Silvestri of Chico Calif; and many nieces and nephews and a very special niece, Vickie Kerr Rathbun. She is also survived by very special long time neighbors in Napa.
