Mary Jo Hunter, 83, of Davie, Florida passed away August 29, 2016. She was born September 19, 1932, in Scranton, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Harry and Nellie (Militello) Bellanco.
Mary Jo married Thomas Daniel Hunter. They lived in Amherst, Ohio for many years where she worked as a legal secretary. The couple moved to San Juan, Puerto Rico in 1976, then to Hollywood, Florida in 1977, finally residing in Davie, Florida. Mary Jo worked with a law firm in Plantation until her retirement. She was a member of the Elketts, the Red Hat Society and of the Saint David Women's Club.
Mary Jo is survived by her daughter, Cindy Davis (David); sons, Greg Hunter, Chris Hunter (Lisa) and Tom Hunter; grandchildren, Gregory Alan Hunter (Katie), Amanda Hunter (Kevin), Daniel Hunter, Eric Hunter, Nicholas Hunter, Cameron Hunter and Ethan Hunter; great-granddaughter, Autumn Hunter; brother, Steve Bellanco; sister, Anne Verner; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Daniel Hunter on June 8, 2012; daughter-in-law, Amy Gayle Hunter on April 27, 2015; brothers, Sebastian and Les Bellanco and sister, Catherine Trainor.
