Charles Kresky, age 90 of the Holiday Heights section of Berkeley Township died peacefully on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at home. Born in Jermyn, Pa., he lived in Fort Worth, TX, Newark and Bloomfield before moving to Holiday Heights in 1991.
A US Navy Veteran of World War II, Mr. Kresky served aboard an LST in the Pacific Theater. He then graduated from Indiana Tech University in Fort Wayne, In. He worked as an electrical engineer for PSE&G, Newark for over 35 years.
He was predeceased by his loving wife Caroline of 64 years in May, 2015.
He is survived by his two sons, Peter and his wife Marguerite of Manasquan and Michael of Cherry Hill. He was a wonderful grandfather to his 5 grandchildren, Peter Kresky, Alexandra Kresky, Anthony Kresky, Michelle Jordan and her husband Brandon, and Tiffany Kresky: and a great grandson, Brandon Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 10:30am at St Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Toms River. Interment of cremains with Military Honors will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 10:00am at the Brig. Gen. W.C. Doyle Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
