Terry Lee Massey
Terry Lee Massey, age 67 of Madison, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Monday, September 5, 2016. He was born on March 6, 1949 in Walhalla, South Carolina, son of Thomas and Loraine ( Randal) Massey. Terry was united in marriage to Jamie Sue Hildebrand on June 10, 1972 in Sheboygan. Together they raised 3 children. Terry was proud to serve as a long range reconnaissance patrol member in the K75 Ranger Regimen during Vietnam. He enjoyed gardening with his wife and traveling with his family. Door County, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Anna Maria Island, FL were some of his favorite spots. He adored his wife, children and grandchildren and loved cheering on the Badger basketball and football teams. He was also proud member of the Middleton VFW Post # 8216. Terry spent many years working in the logistics industry, both on the dispatching and delivery side. He spent the last 14 years of his career working for FedEx, which became a family company for him; employing at various times his son, daughter, and future son-in-law. Alexander Massey; his grandchildren Claire, Paige, Trevor, Gwendolyn and Jonathan; his sister Joyce Mc Carthy; his brother Richard Massey and sister Nancy ( Terry) Green; he also leaves behind many extended family members. Terry was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Jerry Massey. A memorial service will be held at Cress Funeral Home, 3325 E. Washington Ave., Madison, at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2016. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of service. The family wishes to thank the staff at Agrace Hospice, and especially all of the doctors, nurses and other staff at the VA Hospital and UW Hospital, who provided wonderful care to Terry over the years.
