Sandra Kay Kissel

Sandra Kay Kissel, age 65 of Runnells, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at her home in Runnells. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Colfax. The daughter of Marion and Joyce (Dailey) Rients, Sandra was born on June 2, 1951, in Waterloo, Iowa. She graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1969 and attended Nursing School in Denver. On July 26, 1975, she was united in marriage to Dave Kissel in Des Moines. Sandra worked at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. Sandra was loving and kind. She loved being in the pool with her family. Sandra was a wonderful wife and dedicated mother. Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Dave; two daughters, Samantha Shilling and April Keller; four grandchildren, Layne Keller, Abby, Michael, and Hannah Schuring and a brother, Tom Reints. Preceding her in death were her parents and a son, Michael Kissel. [more]
