John H. Waspi 89 of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2016. He was born in Davenport, Iowa to Charles and Leona Waspi on December 29, 1926. John attended Isaac C. Elston High School in Michigan City, IN and Purdue University. He was a Sargent First Class of the US Army during WWII. John spent his career in the moving and storage business in senior executive positions with Allied, Global, and Wheaton Van Lines. He was also director of the American Movers Conference. John was a member of Second Presbyterian Church and Sertoma Club of Broad Ripple, where he became an honorary member, one of their few.
John had a passion for fine food, an occasional martini and of course, the love of his life, Frances. He enjoyed photography, sharing his talent with fellow congregants by photographing baptisms and events at the church. He was an avid reader and would often share his books with his friends.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. at Second Presbyterian Church in the Milner Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Broad Ripple Sertoma.
