RICHARD TINOCO VASQUEZ Born: August 9, 1954 San Jose, California Died: March 12, 2012 Seattle, Washington. RICHARD TINOCO VASQUEZ was born in San Jose and raised in the small town of Milpitas, CA. He was the fifth of seven children of parents Louise Tinoco Vasquez and Charles Nava Vasquez. Among the many accomplishments of.ljis lifetime was the founding of one of the first High School Chicano Teatros and being supporter of the United Farm Workers struggle. Richard took the artistic talents that he nurtured in high school and used these skills to create his beautiful home and his landscaping business. Together he lived with his partner in life, Leif Herald, in Seattle, Washington. They met in March 1981 at Richard's house on Beacon Hill. Leif s artistic and passionate creative teaching style and love of horticulture was the catalyst that developed an intense Diego/Frida artistic talent which is expressed throughout the essence of their home. While living in San Jose, he went through San Jose Vocational Institute and eventually moved into a drafting job at Boeing in Renton, Washington for about 10 years.
