On June 23, 1939 Gladys Stevenson was born the baby girl of the late Mr. Y.Z. Brown and Mrs. Jimmie Lee Brown. She walked through the open gate on January 28, 2010 around 6:10 CST at East Alabama IC unit. She confessed Christ at an early age and united with the New Hope Baptist Church. Ms. Stevenson was a retiree from West Point Pepperell with many years of service. She was the daughter of the late Y.Z. and Jimmie Lee Trammell Brown. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Stevenson, and four sisters, Grayden Robinson, Ethel Reese, Betty Daniel and Gaynell Owens. The remains will lie in state at the church from noon until the funeral hour. The family can be contact at 1139 County Road 187, Lanett, AL and at the home of Rev.
