Margie Heathcote, 91, passed away peacefully at home on June 14, 2012. She was born on December 23, 1920 in Clancy, Montana and moved at an early age to Seattle, where she lived the rest her life. She attended West Queen Anne Grade School and Queen Anne High School, graduating in 1937. In 1945 she married Glen D. Heathcote (1921-1994) and together they had three children; Jeri, Dean, and Patti. Margie and Glen lived on Queen Anne Hill. She worked full-time alongside Glen in their business, Stoneway Lumber Company (1958-1978).
Margie remained independent up to the end, traveling to spend winters on Maui, at Hale Napili and summers at Camp, her beach home on Vashon Island. Most of all, she loved being surrounded by her family, and dear friends.
Margie is survived by her children; Jeri Heathcote Moeller (David), Dean Heathcote (Ingrid), Patti Heathcote Fletcher, grandchildren; Maggie DePaulo (Dylan), Briana Fletcher, Conor Heathcote (Kathryn), Alicia Heathcote, Chris and Kayla Carruthers, and great-grandchildren Louie DePaulo, Oliver Marsh, and Lucas Dean Heathcote.
