Anthony Tony K. Burkhardt

Born July 10, 1982, died unexpectedly July 8, 2005. Tony was the beloved son of Suzanne and Jack Kirkpatrick, Escondido, California, and Bill Burkhardt of North Carolina. Tony was a student at Eastern Washington University, a member of the winning Mock Trial Team, a voracious reader, an athlete, a deep thinker, a wonderful son, brother and friend.
Tony attended Villa Academy in Seattle, and graduated from Blanchette High School in 2001, where he was a member of the football and track teams. He was a senior at Eastern Washington University, where he was preparing to apply to law school.
Tony is survived by his parents, his sisters, Jackie and Courtney Kirkpatrick, brother, Peter Andrew Burkhardt, grandmothers, Mary Sargent and Rita Burkhardt, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. We will all miss his wit, his intelligence and that bright red hair.
