CHARLES McMANUS

Born 6-30-1918 in Buhl, ID and passed away 6-24-2001 in Seattle, WA. Married in 1950 to Ethel Louise Close deceased 9-8-1994. He is survived by Charles, Patrick, James Lynn McManus and Megan?s mom, Kathy Jo; grandchildren Megan, Keri and Casey McManus. Charles operated the family farm in Jerome, ID until 1964 and moved to Ballard. He became one of the first master gardeners with Washington State University and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. ?Bud? was employed by Seattle City Light until retirement in 1985. He enjoyed many family functions with grandchildren and friends. Charles also enjoyed traveling in the Northwest; especially back to the farm in Jerome, ID. He had a wonderful trip to Ireland in 1997 with his son Patrick to find his family roots. Bud was nuts about trains and sports and was great at baseball trivia. He was Seattle Times Guest Guesser Contest winner in 1968 and enjoyed his trip to the Rose Bowl with his wife Lou, whom he adored and has missed since her passing.
