Edward Joseph Praitis, 49, of Woodinville, died Tuesday, November 12, 2013. He was born July 12, 1964 in Omaha, Nebraska, the son of Algis and Dana (Kartanas) Praitis.
Ed attained degrees in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin, and the University of California at Los Angeles. After college, he married Janine Whantong.
Ed was employed at Microsoft for 19 years. He was a member of the Seattle Mountaineers and PCP Cycling Team. He was a soccer coach with NYSA's Thunder. He enjoyed hiking, ice climbing, skiing, star gazing, cycling, and watching football and soccer.
Ed was a great father and loved his family. He was a life long learner, and did everything to the best of his ability.
Ed is survived by his wife of 22 years; his sons Erik and Karl; his grandmother, Ona Kartanas; his parents, Algis and Dana; his siblings, Judith Praitis (David Apel), Vida Praitis (Roger Hill), and Irena Praitis; mother-in-law, Suhong; in-laws, Brain and Lisa Chandler, Randal Whantong, Eric and Nicole Dorsky; and eleven nephews, and niece; many loving uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.[more]
