David Bruce Asmussen

Born Monday, March 30, 1927 to Roy and Ida Asmussen in Mansfield, WA; died Saturday, January 26, 2002 at Northwest Hospital, Seattle, WA. Known as ?Grandpa?, David was a member of the Teamsters Union until his retirement in 1990. ?Grandpa? will be remembered for his sense of humor, colorful speech and generous heart. David is survived by his wife, Maxine; daughters, Shawn, Sherril, Suzann and sons, Ricard and Randall; grandchildren, Amy, Melissa, Kristen, Kyle, Karyn, Riley, Royce, Trisha, Alicia, and great-grandchildren, Rebecca and Katie. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 2; 2:00 PM, Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home Chapel, 11111 Aurora Ave. N., Seattle. Following the service, there will be a family gathering at Holiday Inn Express, 14115 Aurora Ave. N., Seattle. Remembrances may be made to Children?s Hospital cancer research or a charity of choice.
