GEORGE R. POLLOCK passed away February 16, 2002 in Seattle. He was born July 22, 1906 in East Everett, the son of George A. and Rubina Pollock. George served an apprenticeship at Sumner Iron Works in Everett in 1925 as a Pattern Maker. He worked for over 30 years at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, as well as at Boeing beginning work on wood and cloth airplanes to the Boeing ?China Clipper? to the 747.
George lived in the Ballard area for 40 years and spent the last two years at Foss Home, where he was lovingly cared for. George is preceded in death by his wife of 46 years Martha in 1997 and his sister Ruth Healy in 1990. He is survived by his son Roy Pollock, and his sister Dorothy Alley. A member of Everett Baptist Church George will be greatly missed by family, friends and neighbors. Visitation will be Sunday, February 24 from 10-6pm at Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home, 11111 Aurora Ave N., Seattle.
