Age 83, born in Seattle to Martin and Lillian Olson. Graduated from Ballard High School, the University of Washington and was a Golden Beaver. He served in the South Pacific during the Second World War in the U.S. Army?s 214th Anti-aircraft Artillery Battalion. Robert was a member of the Masonic order, and worked for the Seattle Parks Department, the Seattle City Light until he retired. He was a well-known and accomplished musician in the Seattle area, and was a retired member of Musician?s Union Local #76. Robert played the piano and accordion for dances at Bert Lindgren?s in Bothell and the old Swedish Club downtown Seattle. In recent years he played for many senior center dances; Renton, Bellevue and the Seattle Center House to name a few. He also played the piano at Shakey?s Pizza Parlor in Lake City.
