Eric Bartrand

Passed away peacefully on February 24, 2003 after suffering a stroke 4 days earlier. Eric was born on May 31, 1917 in Denmark, immigrating to the United States in 1946, where he began working as a mason. He married his wife, Gunvor on June 12, 1954. Eric will be remembered as a generous and kind-hearted person who helped many people, and also as a fine stone mason whose work can be seen in many locations. He is survived by his wife, Gunvor; his brother, F.A. Per Jorgensen; his niece, Karen Yates; his nephews, David and Eric Bartrand and many friends. His funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1, 1:00PM; St. John United Lutheran Church, 5515 Phinney Ave N. Seattle, WA 98103. Graveside committal, Monday, March 3, 3:00PM; Evergreen Memorial Park. Memorial gifts suggested to St. John United or to the Compass Center 77 S. Washington St. Seattle, WA 98104 and it?s programs for homeless men and women.
