Passed: December 31, 1969
Funeral Home: Evergreen Washelli
Multi-world champion bridge player Paul Soloway, born 10-10-41 to Bess and Sol Soloway in Los Angeles, passed away Monday, November 5, 2007, in Seattle Washington. He was held in the arms of his beloved wife Pam as he passed on. Paul is survived by his wife Pam Pruitt of Mill Creek, WA; his sister Alison Greenberg and her husband Jerry of Los Angeles;
his nephew Peter Greenberg of Washington DC; his niece Kate Greenberg of Brooklyn NY and brother-in-law Ken Pruitt of Mercer Island, WA.
Although graduating from Beverly Hills High School and later with a BA from UC Davis, his "major" and passion were clearly bridge.

At the time of his death, Paul was the top ACBL master point holder in the world. In addition to his numerous national and world titles, Paul was best known for his loyalty to his friends, sportsmanship, being a fierce competitor, ethical to a fault, the
ultimate team player, and yet in so many ways an innocent in the world around him.

Paul believed it was his responsibility to be accessible to players of all levels to answer questions and provide mentoring. He frequently
donated his services to charities and panels.
