Irene Louise Zuger Hilborn
Age 82, passed away October 19, 2008 following a courageous two and a half month battle with brain cancer. Irene was born February 28, 1926 in Easton, Washington to Anton and Oluffia Zuger. She grew up in Seattle, Washington attending Beacon Hill Elementary and Cleveland High Schools. She worked for Seattle City Light from 1943 to 1954, but her true calling in life was her family. She was a wonderful room mother and PTSA member, a founding member of the Northwest Kidney Foundation, past president of the Nile Temple Women's Golf Club, 50+ year member of her Birthday Club, and the best friend and neighbor anyone could have. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Arthur Paul Hilborn. She is survived by daughter Diane Mickey Nichols, son Gregory Ruth Hilborn, and beloved grandsons Alexander Paul and Benjamin William Hilborn, sister Maxine Oliver, sister-in-law Beverlee Zuger, brother-in-law Fred Oliver and numerous nieces and nephews.
