Vasilike Deliganis Triantis

VASILIKE (VIVlAN) (DELIGANIS) TRIANTIS VASILIKE was born on December 23, 1914 in Kandila, Greece to Christos and Magdalene Kostouros and lived to August 19,2012. Vasilike was born into working at every task given to her in life. After completing the 3rd grade she entered the work force at age 9 for the rest of her life from hauling bricks to build a new school to every manual labor of raising crops to feed her family and to make a living. In 1935, she came to America and married George Deliganis. Together they toiled and raised 3 children (Karrie, Christina and Sam) on a fruit and garden farm in Lewiston, Idaho. After her first husband George died in 1951, she continued to work the farm and raise the children often working 18-20 hour days and taking on additional employment off the farm to make ends meet. Later she married Sam Trianlis in 1957 and continued to be the prime bread winner by working at Garden Square Nursery in Lewiston, Idaho, for 20 years until her retirement. She continued to work well into her 90's and maintained a garden after moving to Seattle in 1989. Stavros) Ballas, Ted (Lea) Gormanos, and Vassie (Alex)Skoulis; Christina Deliganis and Sam (Vicki) Deliganis and their four children Anna(George) Webb, Chryssa (Steve) Calandrillo, Zoe (Joe) Facilla and Stephanie Deliganis. Besides her 7 grandchildren she is survived by fourteen great grand children in America and nieces in Greece and niece and nephew and eight grandnieces and grandnephews in Chicago.
