PATRICE CANN was born on December 22, 1951 in Seattle, Washington. She was the daughter of Sylvester Cann, Sr and Lottie Mae Cann. She departed this life on Saturday, December 6, 2003. Patrice was baptized Feb. 28, 1960 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She was also a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church for 51 years. She attended Madrona Elementary and Meany Middle School. Patrice was also an active Girl Scout. She went on to be a Debutante, Cheerleader and graduate of Garfield High School. Patrice was Co-Captain of the Drill A-Retts and a member of the Renaissance Junior and Senior Drill teams. After high school she received her AA Degree in Bookkeeping. Later her hard work and accomplishments lead her to a painter's apprenticeship. Patrice was currently employed by Microsoft as a journeyman painter. Growing up in the Central District of Seattle, she later became a homeowner in Spanaway, WA. Patrice Cann upheld a heart of gold, welcoming family & friends into her life with embracing arms. Patrice is preceded in death by her father, Sylvester Cann Sr; her mother, Lottie Mae Jones Cann. Patrice is survived by two loving and caring daughters; Vonetta Hunter-Norman & Katrina Franklin; one son-in-law; Christopher Norman. Brothers, sisters & spouses; Shirley Cann-Montgoinery, Sylvester & Brenda Cann, Ernest Cann, Barbara Cann, Rev. Henry & Betty Bell Jr, Robert & Rena Cann Sr, Melvin & Andrea Cann, all of Seattle and surrounding areas. Two God-sisters; Joyce Jones & Diane Williams. Three aunts; Ora Lee Robinson and Dorothy Stem of Seattle; LV Davis of Monroe, LA. One uncle; Wilton & Rena Brown of Oakland, CA. One cousin, Sylvia Cotton of Los Angeles, CA. Fourteen nieces and nephews; Tammy Cann, Sylvester Cann III, Shellise Montgomery, LeeShell Montgomery, twins John III and Jeron Wheeler, Sylvester Cann IV, Robert Cann Jr, Syrettia Ashley Juanell Cann, Shardae Cann, Daniel Cann, Scarlet Cann, D'voureax Cann, and Felicity Cann. Seven great nieces & nephews; Tremane Lewis, Shanaye Wheeler, Dayton Nash, Tyrell Cummings, Dai'ja Wheeler, Ki'Sean Wheeler & Shellise D'Angel Montgomery. Patrice leaves a host of other relatives and friends. This day is a home going celebration for our mother, sister and friend.
