catine. She started her career at Muscatine General Hospital and retired from Unity Point Hospital in 2011. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Helen spent a good part of her adult life as an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, serving as the State President 1970-71 and recently being honored for 62 years of dedicated service. Around Memorial Day each year you would find Helen happily working as a Buddy Poppy volunteer. She was also a member of both the American Legion Auxiliary and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. Attending Gilda's Club meetings had recently become an interest. Dancing was Helen's passion in life and you could always find her on the dance floor when the music started. Those left to honor her memory include her children; Jack A. Wulf and wife, Jody, of Muscatine, Susan E. Roelle and wife, Michelle Frieden, of Davenport, Patricia A. Wulf of Petaluma, California, and Linda A. Wulf of Muscatine; and one son-in-law, Kevin Carter of Muscatine. Helen was the proud Grandma of eight grandchildren; Joshua Roelle, Carrie Roussel and husband, Eric, Dustin Roelle and wife, Stephanie, Sarah Wulf-Hamilton and husband, James, Kelly Wulf, Kevin E. Carter, Heather Carter, Brent Wulf and husband, Kent Wulf, as well as 11 great-grandchildren, Kajsa, Miles, Lucille, and Frankie Roelle, Raven Grady, Darian Carter, Dalton and Madison Wulf, Cooper Hamilton, Spencer and Talia Roussel. Helen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Diane E. Carter; one great-grandson, Tanner Roussel; one brother, Herman J. Pippert; and special friend, Bob Randall.
