Robert Lee "Bob" Mangler
Robert Lee "Bob" Mangler, 73, of Delmar, Iowa, passed away on Monday morning, October 31, 2016, at Unity Point Health, Finley Hospital in Dubuque, Iowa. A celebration of Robert's life will be held at 12 P.M., Saturday, November 5, 2016, at the Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Union Cemetery, rural Maquoketa, Iowa. Robert Lee "Bob" Mangler was born on July 9, 1943 in Bellevue, Iowa, to Ervin and Matilda (Seiler) Mangler Sr. He grew up in Bellevue and attended a one room Jackson County country school. He married Carol M. Waugh on September 1, 1962 in Bellevue, Iowa. She preceded him in death on July 7, 2005. "Bob" first worked at Caterpillar as a mill operator for 11 years, and then farmed in the rural Delmar area for many years. In retirement, he was a dog breeder who owned and operated M & M Kennels. "Bob" enjoyed fishing, hunting, farming and talking and visiting with everyone. He especially enjoyed his daily visit to Main Street Cafe in Maquoketa.
