Thelma Belle Rorabaugh, 102, of Keokuk, died Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at River Hills Village.
Thelma was born May 30, 1914, in Sac City, Iowa, the daughter of William Melvin and Nellie Mae Miller Waller. She married Roy Lee Rorabaugh on December 20, 1930 in Ft. Madison, Iowa. He preceded her in death on February 2, 2002. She had worked at Dryden's during War World II. Thelma was a member of the First Christian Church, AARP, Women's Fellowship, and Friendly Sunday School Class and bible study. In the past she loved to go bowling. Thelma's family was her hobby.
Thelma is survived by her daughter Dolores (Richard) Lofton of Keokuk, Iowa, a son Edward L. (Karen) Rorabaugh of Apollo Beach, Florida; five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, ten great great-grandchildren; and her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson Lee Rorabaugh, four brothers and three sisters.
A Celebration of her Life will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, November 26, 2016, at First Christian Church, with Rev. David Turner officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Friday, November 25, from 6 to 8 PM, with family m...[more]
