right up until his passing. If there were any dates that you needed to know, just ask Walter, as he would walk over to the corn crib or the machine shed door and it would be written right there! He had a knack for remembering dates! He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tipton, Knights of Columbus, St. Mary's Church Council, Tipton Moose Lodge, and served on the Clarence Cooperative Board. One of Walter's favorite hobbies was playing cards with his siblings and family. There was never a family event that he missed! Walter considered his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren to be his greatest blessings. Walter is survived by his four daughters; Janet (Gary) Pasold, Clarence; JoEllen (Mark) Cook, Mechanicsville; Julie (Mike) Tharp, Lowden; and Jacqueline (Scott) Bohlen, Durant; three sons, Jerry (Mary) Droll, Clarence; John (Deb) Droll, Ridgedale, MO; and James (Kay) Droll, Stanwood. Also surviving are his sister Veva (Droll) Jenn, Riverside and his brother Reno Droll, Tipton; 17 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Eleanor, his grandson Jayce, brothers Vern and Ivo Droll, and sisters Evelyn Schnoebelen, Luella Beranek and infant sister Delores. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to: St. Mary's Church, Tipton; Fr. Eugene Benda Knights of Columbus Council #11468, Tipton; or, Clarence Assisted Living, Clarence. Walter was a genuinely caring and giving person and will be missed by many family members and countless friends, especially his dear caregivers at the Clarence Assisted Living. The family would like to thank the Clarence Assisted Living for their compassionate care.
