Margaret (Jean) Cowan Schindler passed away on December 13, 2016, at the age of 88. Margaret was born on June 4, 1928, in Seattle, and lived in the Seattle area for most of her life. She was a homemaker who also worked for H & R Block for 15 years during tax season. Her beloved husband of 65 years, Donald H. Schindler, passed away in 2014. Margaret had been an active P.E.O. member since 1946. She was also a member of Presbyterian Women, Seattle Weaver's Guild and Three Tree Quilters in Burien. Margaret is survived by her six children: Daniel Schindler of Seattle; Lucy Murr of Seneca, South Carolina; Carl Schindler of Huntsville, Alabama; Neal Schindler of Normandy Park; Jay Schindler of Vancouver, Washington; Amy Simmons of Federal Way; eight grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
Margaret's memorial service will be held on January 14, 2017, at 2:30 p.m. at Wesley Terrace, 816 S. 216th St., Des Moines, WA 98198.
